Films are very popular in Afghanistan; most of them come from Bollywood, where Indian stars shine. Many Afghan men believe that women should not belong in the spotlight.
 
Pari Ghulami has reached marriageable age but it's not a prospect that she is considering; she just wants to continue acting. Despite the threats that she receives, acting is what she will continue to do.
