You can get hitched quick in Las Vegas... but if you want to get 'un-hitched' in a hurry you might want to go to the Netherlands; you can get divorced in a weekend in the Divorce Hotel.

For only 2,500 euro, anyone can officially end their marriage. The booking includes single rooms and help from an estate agent, notary and psychologist.

So far, seven couples have booked a quickie divorce weekend in one of the hotels. Relatively highly educated people with busy jobs have proved to be the main clientele.

People don't always feel like squabbling over children, alimony and the furniture, says Jim Halfens, director of the Divorce Hotel. "They want to move on."

The hotel has also had requests from outside the Netherlands.

"We're busy with partners in neighbouring countries so as to offer the same service soon over there. In principle, it can happen all over the world."
