In 2011, the Dutch government decided to cut funding and shift RNW from the ministry of Education, Culture and Science to the ministry of Foreign Affairs. The economies of some African countries are expected to grow by five percent annually over the coming years. As a result, more and more Western businesses are investing in the continent, and in many cases, they're making big profits.

Dutch businessmen are also keen to get their share of this new, enterprising Africa.
