Dutch Prince Johan Friso remains in stable but critical condition after being caught in an avalanche while skiing in Austria on Friday. The accident has made for headlines in the Dutch and international press.

The entire Dutch royal family, including Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, have travelled to Lech, where Prince Friso is in hospital receiving treatment. Very little is known about the prince’s chances of surviving or recovering. More information is expected at the end of the week.
