Superbus speeds into the future

In 2011, the Dutch government decided to cut funding and shift RNW from the ministry of Education, Culture and Science to the ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Dutch Superbus has been unveiled. The electric vehicle has a maximum speed of 250 kilometres an hour and can carry 23 people.

It was developed by Wubbo Ockels, the Netherlands' first astronaut and currently a professor of aerospace sustainable engineering and technology.
