Tired of voting for rats? Vote for a cat!

He’s cute, furry and doesn’t belong to any political party. And in just a few days, Morris the cat has won the support of many Mexican voters who are fed up with their regular politicians.
 
Morris has joined the race for city hall in the city of Xalapa. His ‘candicatcy’ as an independent is the brainchild of two young voters in the city who’ve lost faith in their elected representative. Campaigning via social media under the slogans: "Xalapa needs to choose another option" and “ Tired of voting for rats? Vote for a cat!”  the friendly feline is now a trending topic on Facebook and Twitter. And in this short interview posted on YouTube, Morris makes it very clear just what he thinks of his fellow candidates.
