Last month, we had an incredible time at our RNW Media Welcome Event to commemorate our new office space in the Koepel in Haarlem and our 75th anniversary!
We were honored to be joined by keynote speaker Digital Anthropologist, Payal Arora from Erasmus University Rotterdam who set the stage with her speech ‘Engaging the Next Billion for Social Change’ showcasing her comprehensive knowledge on digital rights. We were then joined by discussion moderator Ruba Mimi and our panel of changemakers from Love Matters Arabic, SMEX and Yaga Burundi who shared their experiences using digital media and data to co-create safe digital (civic) spaces for change and advocate for digital rights.
The RNW Media Welcome Event was not just talks and discussions. We ended with a social event at the DeliCafe, where all guests had the option to mingle and network over drinks and bites. We were delighted that many of our guests shared that they were inspired by the speeches and panel discussions and took away new insights on using digital media for social change.
A big thank you to all that attended! Please find a video recap of the event below and if you missed the event, you can take a look at the full event recording here.
