Change to Dutch naturalisation law proposed

In 2011, the Dutch government decided to cut funding and shift RNW from the ministry of Education, Culture and Science to the ministry of Foreign Affairs. All Dutch citizens enjoy equal treatment under the law, whether they were born Dutch or became a naturalised citizen later in life. But the coalition government would like to change the law so that newly naturalised citizens could lose their citizenship if they commit a serious crime.
