On Tuesday, April 30, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands abdicated in favour of her son, Prince Willem-Alexander. There are huge crowds in the Dutch capital Amsterdam to catch a glimpse of the new king and his wife Queen Máxima as well as to celebrate the annual national holiday Queen’s Day. RNW took the opportunity to ask young people in Amsterdam what they think of the Dutch monarchy.
