Jeff Smith was a state senator and a squeaky clean underdog candidate for Congress. But a small campaign lie turned into a federal investigation, and Jeff was sent to prison.

He later discovered that his best friend was secretly recording their conversations for the investigators. Jeff talks about his outsider status in prison, his new job as a college professor and blogger - and how his trust in others has been permanently dented.
