Holland manager Bert van Marwijk has called up 27 players for the preliminary national football squad which will meet England for a friendly at Wembley on Wednesday 29 February.

Originally scheduled as a charity match for last August, the encounter was postponed after serious rioting spread across several areas of London, including the stadium area.

Both England and the Netherlands have since qualified for this summer’s European championship finals in Poland and Ukraine. The match at Wembley is seen as a key test ahead of the tournament. Ranking third and fifth on FIFA’s world table, the Netherlands and England are widely regarded as major candidates for the title.

The definitive Dutch squad will be announced on Friday 24 February.
