Media Network

RNW archive

This article is part of the RNW archive. RNW is the former Radio Netherlands Worldwide or Wereldomroep, which was founded as the Dutch international public broadcaster in 1947. In 2011, the Dutch government decided to cut funding and shift RNW from the ministry of Education, Culture and Science to the ministry of Foreign Affairs. More information about RNW Media’s current activities can be found at

The Media Network pages are currently being redeveloped. The following sections are available:

  • Media Network Weblog: The latest media news, updated 7 days a week.
  • An RSS feed of the headlines in the Weblog.
  • The complete frequency schedule of Radio Netherlands Worldwide.
  • The Hitlist (links to broadcasters around the world).
  • The Pub Spot (Publications and CDs of interest to the international radio listener). Most of the links are to pages on our old website, which will gradually be replaced by new pages. The links may not work in Internet Explorer - we hope to get this problem fixed ASAP.
  • Product Review: Tivoli Audio’s NetWorks Global Radio

Please note that the Receiver Shopping List and An Introduction to Long Distance Medium Wave Listening are  are now hosted by our friends at the Medium Wave Circle.
