Pregnancy discrimination in the workplace

Discrimination against employees because of pregnancy or motherhood appears to be widespread in the Netherlands, even though it is prohibited under Dutch law.

A recent study conducted by the Equal Treatment Commission indicates that just under half the women surveyed described situations that could be deemed discriminatory in nature.
